Va. woman killed in Haymarket crash

A 72-year-old Virginia woman was killed and a man was injured when a Dodge minivan and a Winnebago RV collided on a highway in Haymarket on Sunday, Prince William County police said.

The accident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of James Madison Highway when the minivan, heading south, crossed a double yellow line to pass another vehicle, according to police.

The minivan hit the Winnebago headed in the other direction, police said. Police said the female driver of the Dodge Caravan, Charlotte B. Perry, 72, of Midland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An adult male passenger in the Caravan was flown to a hospital with unknown injuries, according to police. The two occupants of the RV were not injured, police said.

A white Great Pyrenees was in the minivan and has gone missing, police said.
