D.C. police say one man is dead and five others are injured after a fight spilled out of a Dupont Circle nightclub.
Officers were called to the 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue northwest around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say a fight began inside the Heritage India restaurant and club and spilled out onto the sidewalk where three men were shot and three more were stabbed.
All six men were taken to area hospitals, where one shooting victim later died of his injuries. The conditions of the other five injured men were not immediately available.
Connecticut Avenue between Dupont Circle and N Street was closed for several hours while police investigated..
Police have not made any arrests.
