18 years for D.C. man in drug dealing case

A federal judge in D.C. sentenced a man known as “Big Ant” to 18 years and nine months in prison for drug dealing when he was the leader of the Congress Park Crew, a gang in Southeast.

Antwuan Ball, 40, of the District, was charged with one count of unlawful distribution of five grams or more of crack cocaine.

Judge Richard W. Roberts also cited Ball’s leadership role in the gang and his possession of guns during the time he dealt crack in the gang at the sentencing.

Ball was one of six defendants who were charged with a variety of crimes, including armed robbery, attempted murder and crack cocaine dealing, during an eight-month trial.
