A 19-year-old Southeast D.C. man has been charged with second-degree murder in a fatal shooting early Sunday morning.
Jashua Jackson was arrested Wednesday, four days after he allegedly shot and killed 22-year-old Davon Brown of Southeast.
This was the third arrest in a spate of unrelated slayings in the District late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, police said.
Police said they found Brown unconscious when they arrived in the 1700 block of Galen Street SE shortly after midnight. Brown was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene, police said.
Earlier that evening, two other men were killed in separate incidents and suspects have been arrested in both, police said.
On Tuesday, police said Donzell Butler was charged in the stabbing death of Charles Anthony Scott, 20, of Northeast D.C.
On Wednesday, police said Joseph Peoples was charged in the shooting death of Michael E. Jones, 30, of Northwest D.C.
