2 arrested in D.C. armed robberies

D.C. police said Wednesday they have arrested two adult suspects who are believed to have committed multiple armed robberies in the District.

The robberies occurred on Monday night and continued into early Tuesday. The locations of the robberies were in the 1400 block of First Street NW, the 1900 block of 11th Street NW and the 3700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Southeast, police said in a release.

Driving a gray 1995 Lincoln Town car with D.C. tags, the suspects stole cash, cell phones, clothing and other property from victims.

Police identified the two who were arrested as Aaron Walker, 27, and Shadonna Fate, 24.

The city has faced a spike in armed robberies and attacks over the past several months and police said they have made more than 100 arrests so far this year.

Anyone with further information about these incidents are asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
