Two men were severely burned early Sunday when their car caught fire after a two-car collision in Northwest Washington.
The driver of the second car, whose injuries were minor, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence, a D.C. police spokeswoman said.
The crash occurred about 4:15 a.m. in the 4700 block of Georgia Avenue. The two men who were burned had been trapped in their car. They were extricated by officers and taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. The officers received minor burns.
None of those involved was identified.
