If you’re going to rob a pizza delivery man, here’s a slice of advice:You may want to avoid a driver delivering to your block and consider hiding the ill-gotten pizza boxes.
Four men and three juveniles learned that lesson the hard way after police were called to investigate a robbery in the 19000 block of Partridge Wood Drive in Germantown on Monday night, officials said. The driver was delivering an order to a home in that block when five young men surrounded him and demanded pizza and money.
Authorities called in a police dog to help track the pizza and suspects, who fled on foot. With a knock at a door in the same block, someone opened up and officers spotted pizza boxes and property from the delivery man inside, authorities said.
Police arrested Brian Henry, 18, Michael Baltimore, 18 and Seth Sykes, 18, who all live in the block, and Daryl Malik Jackson, 18, of the 19000 block of Wheel Wright Drive. Also arrested were a 17 year-old female, a 16 year-old male and a 15 year-old male. They were not identified because they are juveniles.
All seven were charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and theft under $1,000, police said. The juveniles were released to their parents’ custody. Henry, Sykes and Jackson were being held in the county detention center on $20,000 bond. Baltimore was released after putting up the same amount.
