Seven people are charged with participating in a drug ring that federal authorities say distributed $4.3 million worth of cocaine and marijuana in South Hampton Roads.
A federal indictment unsealed last week says the drug ring had operated for at least seven years.
The Virginian-Pilot reports that five of the seven defendants have been arrested.
According to the indictment, about 227 pounds of cocaine and 2,200 pounds of marijuana were distributed by the group.
