A 92-year-old woman was found dead in District Heights Monday night, and Prince George’s County police detectives are probing the case as a homicide.
Officers were called to the scene just before 8:30 p.m. to check on the welfare of someone in the 2900 block of East Avenue, said Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a Prince George’s Police spokesman. They found a 92-year-old woman dead, suffering from trauma to the body, police said.
At some point, Copeland said, investigators began treating the case as a homicide. He said they were still at the scene Tuesday morning.
