Afternoon shooting in Southeast D.C.

D.C. police are on the scene of a Tuesday afternoon shooting in the 800 block of Southern Ave. SE.

Police responding to a 911 call around 2:30 p.m. found a unconscious man and took him to a hospital, said Officer Araz Alali, a police spokesman.

Further information about the shooting or the man’s condition was not immediately available.
