Alexandria police seek man in bank robbery

The United Bank suspect (Alexandria Police Department) Alexandria police are looking for a man they say robbed a bank Tuesday morning.

The man, described as a light-skinned black man between 25 and 30 years of age standing about 5’ 9” tall, was wearing blue jeans, a black scarf and coat and a floppy camouflage hat. Police released surveillance photos of the suspect.

The man entered the United Bank at 301 S. Washington St. about 9 a.m., police said, displaying a handgun and demanding money.

Police ask anyone with information to call 703-746-6884 or 703-746-6711.
