Police investigate homicide in Glen Burnie

Anne Arundel County police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot and stabbed off a dirt road in Glen Burnie, authorities said Sunday.

Officers responded to a call around 4 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Tanyard Cove Road and Marley Neck Boulevard, and found an approximately 50-year-old man walking out of the woods toward a parked vehicle on a dirt road, Anne Arundel police said in a news release.

A man and a woman were sitting in another vehicle in the area.

Tracing the man’s step back into the woods, police found the body of a man who had been shot multiple times and stabbed, said Lt. Francis Tewey, a police department spokesman.

Police detained the three suspects at the scene and detectives were interviewing them Sunday afternoon. The victim has not been identified, police say.

“We have three people in custody that we’re questioning and at this point I’m not aware homicide is looking for anybody else,” Tewey said.
