Arlington police seek bank robber in red wig

Arlington County police are searching for a man they say wore a red wig and baseball cap as he robbed a BB&T Bank Monday morning.

The man walked into the bank in the 3000 block of Washington Boulevard at 11:50 a.m.. implied that he had a weapon and displayed a note demanding money, police said.

Once he got the cash, he walked out of the bank, police said.

He is described as being in his mid-50’s, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. During the time of the robbery, he wore a baseball cap, red wig, glasses, white and brown plaid button-down shirt and khaki pants.
