Armed carjacking in Chevy Chase: Police

A driver was carjacked at gunpoint in Chevy Chase early Monday morning, according to Montgomery County police.

The driver was at the intersection of Friendship Boulevard and Western Avenue around 5:45 a.m., when two men, one armed with a gun, approached the car and demanded it, police said. The driver got out the vehicle and the suspects drove away. The driver was not injured.

The suspects were last seen heading toward the District on Willard Avenue, according to police. They were described as black males around 5’09” tall. They were wearing dark clothing.

Police are attempting to locate the stolen Audi A4 with Maryland tags 6FW N44. The Audi is a rental and has the words “courtesy car” around the tag.
