Armed sex abuse charges for Northwest D.C. man

A 20-year-old Northwest man has been charged with sexual abuse in a July 29 case.

Police said a victim reported being sexually assaulted in the 900 block of Peabody St. NW near the intersection of Georgia and Missouri avenues.

Travis Martenez Butler was arrested Thursday morning, police said. He was charged with first-degree sexual abuse while armed.

Details of the incident were not immediately available.
