Arrest made in ‘08 D.C. killing

A 19-year-old D.C. man faces first-degree murder charges in the fatal stabbing of a man in the District in November 2008, D.C. police said.

Nelson Javier Fuentes-Portillo, of Northwest, was arrested on Monday, according to police.

After receiving a call on Nov. 6, 2008, officers found Zelaya suffering from multiple stab wounds at the intersection of 11th Street and Otis Place in Northwest around 9:30 p.m., police said.

Zelaya was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
