Arrest made in slaying of D.C. man

D.C. police arrested a man Tuesday in connection with the killing of 22-year-old Shonnell Corriea, who was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds behind a Northwest home.

James Anthony Speaks, 22, of Northwest, was charged with second degree murder while armed. Corriea was shot in the 700 block of Quincy Street NW last Wednesday. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

In all, 10 people were shot or stabbed that night in the District.
