Arrests made in two D.C. slayings

Two suspects, a man and a woman, have been arrested in separate D.C. homicides, police said Thursday.

In one case, 49-year-old Patricia Ann Cave of Northeast was charged with fatally stabbing Lamont Warren, 36, in the 700 block of 24th Street NE.

The slaying occurred just past 1 a.m. Thursday and Cave was arrested shortly afterward, charged with second-degree murder.

In the other case, a suspect who is locked up for an unrelated crime was charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a man in Southeast Washington nine months ago.

The victim, Michael Milton, 47, was gunned down August. 22 in the 4200 block of South Capitol Street SE. A male juvenile was charged with murder in the case soon afterward.

On Wednesday, police also filed charges against Monquel N. Cook, 21, who is incarcerated. He is accused of felony murder in Milton’s death.
