Nearly three months after allegedly delivering life-threatening blows to a man outside a convenience store, Theo Alton Mitchell was arrested, the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
According to charging documents, Mitchell confronted a man outside a 7-Eleven in Temple Hills on Nov. 1 and struck him in the head and face with an unknown object.
The victim was taken to the Prince George’s Hospital Center, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries and survived.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mitchell on Dec. 6. He was located and arrested by sheriff’s deputies Tuesday night in the 1800 block of Thomas Road in Fort Washington.
Mitchell has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He is being held at the Prince George’s County Detention Center on a $375,000 bond.
