Missing Md. baby found unharmed in Suitland

UPDATE: The baby was found unharmed in Suitland, authorities said, at the home of a relative of Tiara Monique-Williams. The relative will not face charges, according to police, who are still seeing Monique-Williams.

ORIGINAL POST: Howard County police are searching for a 16-month-old girl they said was abducted by her mother’s friend late Wednesday night.

Police said they think Tiara Monique-Williams, 23, took the child while she was babysitting at the child’s mother’s home in the 9400 block of Ridge View Drive in Columbia.

The incident was reported to police around midnight.

Investigators have been searching for Monique-Williams and said she may be in Prince George’s County near the District. They do not know what kind of car she is driving.

Monique-Williams is black, 5-foot-2, 107 pounds with a light complexion, police said. She has long back hair and was last seen wearing a pony tail.

The baby may be wearing a blue denim jacket with a colorful hood, police said.

Police asked anyone with information to call 911.
