Body found at I-66 rest stop

Virginia State police say there were no apparent signs of foul play in the death of a male whose body was found inside a parked vehicle at a rest area off of I-66 in the Manassas area on Wednesday.

Officials had not identified the male Wednesday night. The body was taken to a state medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death, officials said.

State troopers were called to a rest area and welcome center at Mile Marker 48 at about 2 p.m. Wednesday for the report of a body on the grounds, said Corinne Geller, a state police spokeswoman. Police closed the rest area to investigate.
