Body found in Prince William County

Prince William County police said a body was found Tuesday morning by surveyors working in the woods in Woodbridge.

The remains were found about 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Benita Fitzgerald Drive. The body was about 350 to 400 yards from the road.

Police said the body was badly decomposed, and they do not yet know the person’s age, gender or race. The investigation is ongoing.
