Candlelight vigil for family found dead inside Herndon home

A candlelight vigil will be held for the family of four that was found dead in their Herndon home Tuesday.

The vigil will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Floris United Methodist Church, 13600 Frying Pan Road in Herndon.

According to the church Web site, the couple and their two school-age children were members of the church.

“Everyone is feeling a great deal of grief over this loss and are searching for answers that are not known at this time,” Rev. Tom Berlin wrote on the church’s blog.

The bodies were found Tuesday in a home in the 133000 block of Point Rider Lane by Fairfax County police officers who were called to check on the family.

Police have not released the identities of the family members or provided a cause of death.

According to news reports, students at Westfield High School in Chantilly will wear black on Wednesday to mourn the victims.
