Car crashes into Landover KFC; one person killed

A person was killed Monday night in Landover when a car crashed into into a Kentucky Fried Chicken, authorities said.

An earlier police account, reported on Crime Scene and elsewere, said the victim was a patron who was struck while standing outside the restaurant, 6701 Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. But that account was erroneous, Prince George’s Police said later Monday night.

Investigators now believe the victim was an occupant of the BMW sedan that plowed into the restaurant at about 6:30 p.m.
