Child sexual abuse charge for D.C. man, 21

D.C. police arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting a student at a public school last week.

Davon Rashad Wood, of Southeast Washington, has been charged with second-degree child sexual abuse.

Detectives from the youth investigations division said on Feb 1, Wood got inside Ketcham Elementary in the 1900 block of 15th St SE shortly before 3:30 p.m. and assaulted a student.

The student told a staff member about the assault, and school officials contacted the police.

Wood’s court appearance on the charges is pending.
