D.C. police officer charged in an internal sting with trying to receive stolen property is due in court.
Guillermo Ortiz, who was arrested along with two other officers in a sting this month, faces a determination of attorney hearing Tuesday in D.C. Superior Court.
Ortiz is accused of trying to buy electronics equipment that he thought was stolen. He has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor.
The other two officers, Dioni Fernandez and Silvestre Bonilla, have also pleaded not guilty and have court appearances this month as well.
A fourth D.C. police officer, Jennifer Green, was arrested this month in a similar but unrelated internal sting.
