A critically wounded male walked into a Northwest recreation center Thursday night after suffering what are believed to be serious stab wounds, D.C. police said.
Police were called the 1400 block of 7th Street about 7:15 p.m., soon after the wounded man arrived seeking help, said Officer Hugh Carew, a spokesman. Callers told police the man may have been stabbed, and the victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene, but police were not immediately clear where or why the man was wounded.
