D.C. man enters guilty plea in stabbing of two women

A 37-year-old Northeast D.C. man pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court on Friday for stabbing two women outside a nightclub last March, authorities said.

Quinten A. Russell, who lives in the 5600-block of Chillum Place NE, was charged with felony assault with significant bodily injury and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

After getting into a verbal dispute with the women, Russell stabbed the women with a black pocket knife outside Club Zone 21 at the corner of Queens Chapel Road and Adams Place NE, authorities said. He fled the scene but was soon taken into custody, police said.

Police said Russell was found with a handgun that had an extended magazine.

Authorities said Russell had a prior felony conviction, but additional information on the charge was not provided.

Russell, who is scheduled to be sentenced in September, faces up to 18 years in prison.
