A man fatally shot Monday night at the edge of a busy shopping area in Northeast Washington has been identified as a 47-year-old District resident.
D.C. police said the shooting occurred about 10:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of Bryant Street NE.
The victim, Bruce Parker, of Northeast, was taken to a hospital, where he later died. No arrests have been made in the case and police are still searching for a motive in the killing.
The shooting was in the Brentwood area south of Rhode Island Avenue and Brentwood Road and half a mile east of the Rhode Island Avenue Metrorail station.
