Motorcyclist killed in Northeast D.C.

A 48-year-old Northwest Washington man was killed Monday afternoon while riding a motorcycle in Northeast Washington, D.C. police said.

The man was identified by police as Timothy R. Murray.

Police said the crash occurred about 5:10 p.m. as Murray was headed north on a Honda motorcycle in the 1000 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE.

They said a disabled school bus was being towed by a tow t ruck. The truck was making a right turn into a parking lot when it was struck by the motorcycle, which then struck an automobile, police said.

After being thrown from the motorcycle, Murray was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said.
