D.C. police investigate death reported at downtown hotel

D.C. Police are at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Washington to investigate a reported death.

Police were called to the hotel in the 900 block of 9th St NW about 10 a.m. Officer Tisha Gant, a D.C. police spokeswoman, said the officers who responded to the scene requested detectives from the department’s natural death squad.

That unit is assigned to death that are not suspected homicides.
