D.C. police investigating Southeast shooting death

A man who was shot early Monday in Southeast Washington died from his wounds, according to D.C. police who said the shooting was domestic-related.

The victim was identified as Robert Maurice Lesueur, 23, of Northeast. Officer Anthony Clay, a D.C. police spokesman, said Lesueur was found about 1:30 a.m. inside an apartment in the 1700 block of 27th St. SE.

Clay said the shooting has categorized as domestic relarted and involved two men arguing over a woman. The relationships between the people involved was not clear, he said.

A suspecs has not been publicly identified, Clay said. Officers were called to the apartment for a report of an assault in progress, and found Lesueur when they got there, he said.

Clay said Lesueur died at a hospital Monday afternoon.
