D.C. police release video of men linked to shooting

D.C. police have released a video showing four men possibly linked to a shooting earlier this week in Southeast Washington that left a man critically wounded.

The shooting occurred Wednesday about 3:30 p.m. at 14th and K streets Southeast, two blocks south of the Potomac Avenue Metro. The video released by police shows four men getting onto an escalator at the Eastern Market Metro station in Capitol Hill. At least two of the men are running and the others appear to be in a hurry. Officer Araz Alali, a D.C. police spokesman, said the suspected gunman was seen in a black Pontiac car that was later found abandoned in the 1000 block of South Carolina Avenue SE. Alali said the car had been stolen from Prince George’s County.

Alali said the suspected gunman was seen on video surveillance camera heading into the Eastern Market Metro accompanied by three other men shortly after the shooting.

Anyone with information about the men or the shooting is urged to call D.C. police at 202-727-9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411. Police are offering a reward up to $1,000 to anyone who provides details leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
