D.C. police seek help in double shooting

D.C. police have released a video showing three men described as persons of interest in a September double shooting that left one man dead in Northeast.

The men are seen in the video walking up to a white four-door car. One man in a white shirt peers into a window and tries to open the driver’s side door, which appears to be locked. The men then walk away.

Police did not say whether the car is related to the Sept. 25 shootings or if the apartments seen in the background are at the location where the incident happened.

The shootings occurred about 11:10 p.m. in the back of the 5000 block of H St. NE. Police said officers found two victims, one injured and another shot in the head and later pronounced dead. He has been identified as Wayne Young, 57, of Northeast.

Anyone with information is urged to call police at 202-727-9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411. Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
