D.C. police have released a video in hopes of generating leads in the fatal 2010 shooting of a Bowie man in Northeast Washington.
Police found Rajeshkumar Patel, 46, suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived in the 3600 block of 12th St. NE about 6:40 p.m. on Dec. 18. Patel was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The surveillance video, which is 19 seconds long, shows two men entering the Newton Market, which Patel owned at the time. One man, wearing a gray jacket and hood and dark pants, walks toward the camera and then turns around.
The second, hearing a light-colored hood and dark jacket, remains in the background before walking off-camera to the left, his arm raised. It appears as if he is pointing a weapon.
The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
