D.C. Police seek suspects in two robberies

D.C. police are seeking suspects in connection with two robberies that occurred Monday night in the Shaw neighborhood of Northwest Washington, four blocks and 10 minutes apart.

Police said the first robbery occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Florida Avenue NW when two men or teens approached a man and demanded his jacket.

About 10 minutes later, police said three males walked into a convenience store in the 1600 block of 8th Street NW and tried to steal items before being confronted by the store’s owner.

Police have released surveillance video from the store. They are seeking two males, 16 to 17 years old, one wearing a red jacket, and a man in his mid-20s who was wearing a camouflage jacket.

Anyone with information is urged to call police at 202-727-9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411.
