D.C. toddler’s death is ruled a homicide

District police are investigating what they say is the homicide of a 20-month-old boy.

Police were sent to United Medical Center shortly before 6 a.m. Monday, where they learned that the boy had been taken to the hospital in a private vehicle from the 3000 block of 30th St. SE.

Keyontae O. Moore, who was in critical condition, was taken to Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said an autopsy, completed Wednesday, ruled the death a homcide caused by “blunt-impact trauma.”

Details of the incident that lead to Moore’s death were not immediately available.

Police ask anyone with information on the case to call 202-727-9099. Text message can be sent anonymously to 50411.
