Death ruled homicide after man shot in 1999 dies

BALTIMORE — Authorities say a man who was shot in the head in 1999 has died of a seizure, and his death is classified as a homicide.

Thirty-six-year-old Earl Brown suffered a seizure on Oct. 7 and later died. He had been shot on Sept. 23, 1999, in Baltimore and developed a seizure disorder.

The Baltimore Sun reports police as saying the medical examiner ruled Brown’s death was the result of complications from the shooting.

Of the 167 people listed as homicide victims this year in Baltimore, five died as a result of injuries suffered in previous years.
