Dinh Quy killed in West Springfield crash

A 62-year-old woman died Tuesday after her car veered off a West Springfield road and struck a tree, Fairfax County police said.

Dinh Quy, of the 6200 block of William Edgar Drive in Alexandria, left the parking lot of a shopping center near the intersection of Rolling Road and Old Keene Mill Road shortly after 7 p.m. in her Toyota Corolla, police said.

She headed north on Rolling Road and passed through the intersection with Old Keane Mill Road, but then ran off the west side of the road and struck the tree, police said. Quy was pronounced dead a short time later.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
