One convicted, one acquitted in connection with shooting of driver

UPDATED: Carlton N. Parker has been acquitted of all charges in the case, according to court records and attorneys.

Darnell L. Parker has been found guilty of unlawful wounding and unlawful shooting in connection with the incident.


Two men have been charged by Fairfax County police with shooting at a 2011 Porsche on Sunday in Centreville and wounding the driver. .

A police statement identified the suspects as brothers Darnell L. Parker, 28, of Seaford, Delaware, and Carlton N. Parker, 27, of the District.

They were arrested on I-66 and each has been charged in connection with the shooting, which police said occurred about 5:40 a.m. in the 5800 block of Trinity Place.

Authorities said the unidentified victim was treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police said the victim met two women at a Washington nightclub and decided to go to a restaurant in the man’s Porsche. The police statement says the victim got lost and ended up in Centreville.

There, one of the women called the Parker brothers and asked them to come to take her and the other women home. After the women were in the car with the brothers, police said, at least one of the men shot at the Porsche, striking the diver in the leg.
