FBI seeks suspect in SunTrust Bank robbery in Anacostia

The FBI released this surveillance photo of a woman they believe robbed the SunTrust Bank branch at 1340 Good Hope Road SE on Monday.Authorities are searching for a woman they believe robbed a SunTrust Bank branch in Anacostia Monday morning.

The woman entered the SunTrust Bank branch at 1340 Good Hope Road SE at about 9:11 a.m. Monday, demanding and receiving an undisclosed amunt of money. The FBI’s Washington office described the suspect as being a short, light-skinned black female in her early 20s. She was wearing a light-colored or grey hooded sweatshirt and a pink baseball cap at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call the FBI’s Washington field office at 202-278-2000 or MPD at 202-727-9099. Tipsters can also call anonymously at 1-888-919-2746.
