Five people stabbed in D.C. on New Year’s

Five people were stabbed in the District on New Year’s Eve and into the early hours of 2012, police said. None of the injuries was fatal.

Two of the five cases involved domestic violence incidents, said Officer Anthony Clay, a police spokesman, with three people arrested in those cases. The other three stabbings are still under investigation.

The incidents, which occurred late Saturday and early Sunday in different parts of the city, are not believed to be related, Clay said.
