Parents and their two children have been found dead in a Herndon home, Fairfax County police said Tuesday.
Police said they were called to the single-family house in the 13300 block of Point Rider Lane at 10:37 a.m. by a co-worker who was concerned because one of the parents had not shown up for work on Monday or Tuesday. The bodies were found around noon, police said.
Police said in a tweet that there does not appear to be any ongoing threat to public safety. They said the children did not attend school on Monday or Tuesday.
Police did not immediately say how the four died or provide additional details.
