Four shot, wounded in District Heights

Four people were shot and wounded after an argument turned violent in the District Heights area early Sunday morning, authorities said.

The shooting occurred just after 12:30 a.m. in the 5500 block of Marlboro Pike, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a Prince George’s County police spokesman. Johnson said a man got into an argument with someone in a group, then opened fire into the group. Four people were shot, Johnson said, but they all are expected to survive.

Johnson said the shooter fled in a black Jeep, and police eventually found and chased the vehicle into Virginia. He said they arrested the suspect at Telegraph Road and Interstate 495.

Johnson said he did not know the suspect’s name or what the argument was about.
