Four years for former Va. coach in teen sex case

A former high school football coach convicted of having sex with two underage girls in Virginia will spend four years in prison.

Media outlets report that 38-year-old Rick Witt of Goodview was sentenced Tuesday in Bedford County Circuit Court.

Witt had pleaded guilty last December to 10 misdemeanor counts of consensual sexual intercourse with a minor. He was fired by the Bedford County school system in December 2009.

One victim was a student at Staunton River High School. The other attended William Byrd High School in Roanoke County. Witt had coached and taught at both schools.

Witt also faces charges in Roanoke County.
