Police have announced funeral arrangements for the U.S. Park Police sergeant who died in the line of duty on Friday.

Michael Boehm collapsed after responding to a report of a critically uninjured person near the Key Bridge in Georgetown on Friday evening, authorities have said. He was taken to Georgetown University Hospital, where he died.

The other man, who apparently fell or jumped from the bridge, also died, according to authorities.

A public viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Church of the Nativity at 6400 Nativity Lane in Burke, the Park Police said Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be held at the same location on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

A procession from the church to U.S. Park Police Headquarters in Washington will follow, police said, after which Boehm will be buried at Fairfax Memorial Park at 9900 Braddock Rd. in Fairfax around 1 p.m.
