Guilty plea expected in Anne Arundel peeping tom case

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A Crofton man accused of entering the homes of several women and videotaping them as they changed clothes is expected to plead guilty.

A plea hearing for 35-year-old Charles Novak is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.

Novak was arrested in December after a woman told police she found a man sitting in a car in her garage. Officers searched the area and found Novak, who had a camera with videos of nude women who didn’t appear to be aware they were being recorded.

Police said a search of Novak’s home turned up evidence linking him to other burglaries, including the theft of a girl’s underwear.

He faces dozens of charges, including burglary and peeping tom.
