Guilty pleas for Camden Yards ‘Batman’

BALTIMORE — A man who ran onto the field wearing a Batman costume during two professional sporting events in Baltimore has pleaded guilty to two trespassing counts.

The Baltimore Sun reports that 26-year-old Mark Harvey received a 180-day sentence, with all but four days suspended. Harvey has already served two days in jail. He tells The Sun he will turn himself in Jan. 4 to serve the remainder of the sentence.

Harvey ran on the field at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on opening day in April. He repeated the stunt during a Baltimore Ravens game in September. He was only partially clothed during the second incident.

Harvey says prosecutors wanted to “make an example” of him to deter anyone else from running on the field.
