Guilty pleas for Virginia man in child pornography case

BEDFORD, Va. — A Virginia man serving time for a sex crime against a child has pleaded guilty to 25 felony counts involving child pornography.

Forty-four-year-old Gregory Winston Robertson of Forest entered his plea on Tuesday in Bedford County Circuit Court related to possession and reproduction of child pornography. Sentencing is set for July 24.

Court records show Robertson was arrested in May after investigators received a complaint from about Robertson’s potential possession of child pornography.

The Roanoke Times reports that prosecutor Wes Nance said investigators later found about 30 discs at Robertson’s residence filled primarily with child pornography.

Nance said Robertson had pleaded guilty last year in Waynesboro Circuit Court to a sex crime against a child and is serving nine years in prison on that conviction.
