Gunpoint robbery of H Street clothing store

The store on fast-developing H Street NE is called the Rainbow clothing store.

The clothing worn by the robber who held it up Saturday night may not have included every color. But, according to a police description, it had at least three.

Police said the store in the 800 block of the street was held up about 8:15 p.m. by someone with a gun who forced his way in before closing time. He hit an employee in the head, took money and fled out the back.

Police said he was black, with a light complexion, 5 feet 4 and about 140 pounds.

He wore a black and orange jacket, and blue jeans, police said. They said he also wore a ski mask.
